Our volunteers travel all over Canterbury to visit clients and deliver devices. We simply could not operate the service without them.
The heart of the service
WanderSearch Canterbury is a charitable trust. Volunteers act as our representatives across the Canterbury region — and, alongside our Programme Manager, they’re how the service reaches the people who need it.

I’m so happy to be joining the WanderSearch team this month! I’ve recently gained the time to commit to something meaningful and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of this cause. While I’m currently studying at university, I enjoy having the time in my life to give back and stay connected to the community in a way that feels grounded and purposeful.
Volunteering with WanderSearch allows me to contribute in that meaningful way. I get to meet incredible people of all minds and ages, and I truly value the opportunity to connect with our clients and their families in a supportive, personal way. I’m really looking forward to meeting everyone.
